This approach can be less expensive than reserving a hotel room or in some cases multiple rooms for the same length of time, especially if vacationing with a family or large group of people. They usually have a variety of amenities to make your visit more enjoyable, often including a pool or private hot tub (with no loud neighbors), a full-size kitchen (so you don’t have to eat out for every meal), laundry facilities (so you don’t have to pack as much).

The North American Condominium marketplace is primarily in the doldrums. Nothing sucks as much as finding out that you have mold. The first thought that comes to mind is well - not a thought, but the image of those guys in hazmat suits and gas masks coming in and ripping your house to shreds in a mold remediation, effort just to get at a 3 foot square patch of mould that the owner swears simply wasn’t there the day before.
